With less than a month remaining before training camp opens on Sept. 30, the Bulls still have work to do with the roster.

Guard Ben Gordon, the team's leading scorer for the past three seasons, remains in limbo as an unsigned restricted free agent. No team besides Memphis has significant room under the salary cap, so the chances of signing an offer sheet with another team are slim to none.

The Bulls are believed to be offering Gordon around $59 million over six years and are reluctant to go any higher because they are approaching the NBA's luxury-tax threshold.

Speaking at his charity bowling tournament in Yonkers, N.Y. on Aug. 15, Gordon suggested a sign-and-trade deal is possible and his agent, Raymond Brothers, is exploring possibilities.
