Next Match: at home to Arminia Bielefeld, May 17 New Stuttgart signing Jan Simak has arrived at the club early to commence his rehabilitation from a groin injury. The 29-year-old striker penned a two-year deal to join the club last month from Czech side Carl Zeiss Jena. And while he was not expected to arrive in Stuttgart until July, Simak has joined the club early in a bid to recover from surgery on the injury in time for the new season. "So far everything is running according to plan," he told the club's official website www.vfb.de. "I have no pain and feel quite good already. I am very happy that VfB have given me this opportunity to be able to train here." Stuttgart host Arminia Bielefeld on the final day of the season on Saturday needing a win to have any hope of claiming a UEFA Cup place. |
